The Entity

The Associació Esportiva Ramassà is a football club and NGO from Les Franqueses del Vallès (Barcelona, Spain), contributing member of Mr. Victor Ochen’s African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET) and ambassador of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and the United Nations logo is proudly worn on our football kit. The club is an amateur men’s team (football 11), associate member of the Catalan Football Federation.

A.E Ramassà has been organising cooperative projects in Africa for the last years (in Ethiopia, Benin, Uganda, Cameroon, Madagascar and Ivory Coast) which all include a football match against one of the best teams of each country. Every year we work with the country’s NGO’s and associations, we visit and help them fund projects aligned with the club’s values, and we also carry out a series of educational and fun workshops with the children of the NGO’s we work with.

A.E Ramassà also has a long-term project underway in Cameroon, where we are helping build a training centre and a football academy for children and youngsters who are at risk of social exclusion in the Etetack neighbourhood of Yaoundé. Around 100 children are already enrolled, along with various men’s teams and also women’s teams.

Awareness-raising and education for development activities are also being carried out in Catalan schools.
Each year the project grows exceptionally. Our ever-increasing network of helpers facilitates
the implementation of more elaborate and complex projects, partially thanks to the partnership agreement we have with AYINET and Mr. Victor Ochen, ambassador of the United Nations.

The projects we carry out always aim to promote peace, access to education and are against social inequality, using sport as a tool for social integration of children and youngsters in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability.
